Balmoral Systems Ltd Privacy Policy

A user is someone who accesses or uses the services for the purpose of sharing, displaying, hosting, publishing, transacting, uploading information or viewing pictures and includes other persons jointly participating in using the Services.

Balmoral are responsible for your personal data and are a “Data Controller,” which means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you. What information do we collect?

Balmoral may collect and use information of its customers and users. We collect only personal data which is essential to our operations as a fire and security company and enables us to provide you with our services and a better experience.

We store all your personal details on our server and cloud back up servers. All these servers are located within the United Kingdom. Our external cloud servers are assessed for their privacy and security.

How long do we keep your personal data for?

We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, BAFE, NSI, accounting or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means and the applicable legal requirements.

How secure is my data?

Keeping your personal data safe is paramount to our commitment to you. We have stringent and appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. All persons who have access to your data are trained in use of personal data and the requirements of data protection
